Abstract

The aim of the research was to develop the offensive stroke performance in volleyball using two training approaches: the unified approach and the multi-directional approach The research hypothesis was: There are statistically significant differences between the first experimental group (unidirectional) and the control group in favor of the first experimental group in the variables under investigation. The research problem was: Through the researcher’s review of many studies and references, it was found that there is a scarcity of studies and research that dealt with this trend in the field of sports training and in individual and group sports activities. Rather, it was found that there is a lack of such research in group sports in general and in volleyball in particular, which prompted the researcher to address this study in a scientific and applied way. Therefore, this study is considered a serious scientific attempt that aims to study the effect of using one-way and multi-way training on the performance of the offensive stroke in volleyball and their effect on the physical elements of the offensive stroke and to compare them in terms of effect. The researcher used the experimental method as it was suitable for the nature of the study. The research sample was selected from the volleyball player population in Babylon Governorate, aged 17, using purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 30 players divided into three groups. The most important finding of the research was the use of a multi-directional training method when training the physical aspects of the offensive shot.
